New Beneficial Ownership Regulations – Extraordinary Gazette No. 2511/47 dated 21.10.2026

The Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development has promulgated the Companies (Beneficial Ownership) Regulations, No. 1(II) of 2026 under section 527 of the Companies Act, No. 07 of 2007, read with sections 130A, 130C, 130D, 130H and 130I.

These Regulations were published in Extraordinary Gazette No. 2511/47 dated 21.10.2026 and come into operation on 22.10.2026.

The new Regulations rescind Regulation 9 of the earlier Companies (Beneficial Ownership) Regulations,
No. 1(I) of 2026 (Extraordinary Gazette No. 2509/67 dated 09.10.2026) and introduce a revised penalty for late submission of prescribed Beneficial Ownership forms.
